6 Starting Modes Of Soft Starter
WHAT IS A SOFT STARTER?
It is smoothly started, reducing the impact to equipment and grid.
HOW TO GENERATE A SOFT STARTER?
soft starter 6 starting modes
1. current-limiting starting mode
-motor starts, voltage rises, current to limited(constant),
voltage rises, motor speeds up to rated speed,
bypass contactors close, current down to rated/below, finish
Use: strict limit for starting current
2. voltage ramp starting mode
-motor starts, current below 400% rated, voltage up rapidly then slowly as per setting to constant, motor speeds up to rated voltage and rated speed, bypass contactors close, finish
Use: no strict requirements for starting current, good starting stability
3. jump starting mode
-firstly non jump starting
-motor no start for huge friction, jump starting
Use: I. heavy load machines use
II. adding higher fixed voltage,(against friction) endure some time to generate motor, power on via current-limiting starting mode/ voltage ramp starting mode
4. current ramp starting mode
Use: apply to bipolar motor, short starting time
5.voltage current-limiting double closed-loop starting mode
-voltage ramp starting mode and current-limiting double closed-loop mode control
Use: I. start steadily & strict current-limiting multi starting modes
